Episode 07 “Black Blood of Terror〜The Weapon Within Chrona?〜” at a glance:
Maka and Soul travel to Italy to hunt down another serial killer as part of an extracurricular assignment. When they’re there however, they sense Chrona and his demon-sword partner Ragnarok killing some innocent human souls. When they go to confront Chrona, there are obviously some very serious problems with him, including his sword being inside of him (his blood), his strange actions, and he also seems to be possessed by the strange figure perched above the town.

Episode 06 “Freshman Gossip!~ Lots of Memories of Kid’s First Attendance at Shibusen?~” at a glance:
It’s the day that Death the Kid starts school at Shibusen and although Stein is continuing with his normal routine of dissection lectures, the whole freshman class is gossiping about Death the Kid’s arrival. Soul and Black Star are waiting for Kid when he arrives 3 hours late to pick a fight with him. Soul and Black Star soon discover that their wavelengths don’t match at all, and they are no match for Death the Kid. To end the fight, Kid, Patty and Liz use their Resonance of Souls and extinguish the remaining hopes that the loud-mouthed duo held on to.

Obviously there’s still a lot left to go, and sadly we havn’t been able to see all of the anime that we would like to yet (examples: Macross and xxxHolic: Kei and others). But this is our list to give you guys a sort of sense of the good the bad and the awesome that Spring season 2008 has to offer.

Episode 05 “Soul’s Form ~ Strongest Meister Stein’s Entrance?~” at a glance:
Maka, Soul Eater, Tsubaki and Black Star finally meet the legendary Dr. Franken Stein. Among many things that surprise them about the wacky doctor is that he can see the souls of our protagonists and even determine their personalities. Living up to his name, Stein out skills all of the young fighters and threatens to perform experiments on them by dissection as research subjects.

Episode 04 “Witch Hunting Invocation!?~ Heart Throbbing■Graveyard Supplementary Class Lessons?~” at a glance:
There’s a rumor going around that Maka and Soul Eater’s old homeroom teacher, Sid, a well-respected and highest ranked weapons master had been killed and turned into a zombie. Then Maka, Soul, Black Star and Tsubaki all get summoned to Shinigami-sama’s room in the middle of class. Although they all had tried and defeated their opponents, the sad truth was that neither pair had a single soul collected.

Episode 02 “I’m Definitely a Star! ~The Extremely Big Man, Revealed Here?~” at a glance:
Meet the demon weapons master Black Star, and his weapon partner Tsubaki. Although you might not be able to tell by looking, Black Star is an assassin also training to create a Death Scythe worthy of a shinigami. Ironically, the fact that he’s an assassin doesn’t stop him from being the loudest and most eccentric character so far, resulting in a grand total of zero souls consumed by poor Tsubaki.
