Episode 07 “Can I Warm You Up?” at a glance:
A young ninja named Yukihana who can control snow has come to try and separate Chizuru and Kouta. She claims to have been sent by Chizuru’s mother after news reached the demon world about her relationship with a human. Yukihana puts the school under the siege of an unbelievably cold snow storm to try to flush Kouta out. When faced with a fight against Yukihana and Kouta’s human body seems like its going to give out, Chizuru posses Kouta once again. After seeing that they are able to merge, Yukihana says that her job was merely to see if the two were compatible/serious in their feelings and that Chizuru’s mother says that Chizuru and Kouta should come together to visit.

Episode 06 “Please?” at a glance:
Kouta’s calm and quiet New Year’s morning is quickly broken up when Chizuru comes over, obviously wanting a little New Year’s “special” attention. She has a relationship board game that she says is cursed to force him to play. Nozomu comes over and interrupts their game, and Kouta decides that it’s time to go visit the shrine before things escalate. At the shrine, all of the main classmates reunite and all enjoy some normal shrine festivities with the mixed in sexual advances of Chizuru.

Episode 05 “Became No Good?” at a glance:
Nozomu’s brother Saku has come to school, not to learn, but to try and win over Chizuru. To put a stop on Chizuru’s non-stop flirting with Kouta, he puts a bracelet on Kouta’s wrist that gives Kouta pain, and could even kill him when he becomes sexually aroused. When Chizuru finds this out, she tries to stay out of his line of sight, but close as possible (stalker!). Even after a day or two, shes having major withdrawals and is about to give up.
In a final showdown battle, Tayura, Omi and Mio try to stop Saku with their abilities, but he proves to be too strong. Even when Chizuru tries, he’s much to strong for her to handle. Thankfully Kouta shows up hopefully before Saku has to chance to do anything to her naked body. The two merge together and easily defeat Saku. Saku says he approves of their relationship and rides off away from the school, but at the end mysteriously stops to report in to two unknown individuals.

Episode 04 “Can’t Take it off Anymore?” at a glance:
Looking to outdo Nozomu, once again, Chizuru sneaks into a room in the school full of cursed objects and decides to put on a bunny suit. Naturally, the bunny suit turns out to be cursed and she isn’t able to take it off, forced to go around school in permanent cosplay.

Episode 03 “I’m going to feast on you?” at a glance:
One thing that isn’t seeming to get better over time is Chizuru’s cooking. Although she tries her best for him, it usually turns out to be somewhat less-than-edible. In order to win over Kouta, both Chizuru and Nozomu start to cook him a love-obento every day, which turns into a type of cooking showdown.

Overview of episode 2 - “Are We Becoming One?”:
This episode starts out showing a mysterious pair of white-haired siblings riding into town on a bike. On the way home from school, Chizuru is busy making herself cozy with Kouta once again. Although Kouta’s face says that he obviously loves the feminine parts of Chizuru, her sexual advances end up sending him running at top speed into the middle of town from public embarrassment once again.
While running through town, Kouta comes across the young looking mysterious girl who was chowing down on some spare ribs from a street vendor without any sign that she was going to pay for them. When Kouta gets dragged into the conversation and offers to pay for her, she pays the man and thanks Kouta for his generosity, saying she “won’t forget his scent”. She says her name is Nozomu Ezomori, and although Kouta suspects that she may also be an animal spirit, before he has a chance to say anything, she runs off.

OP: “PHOSPHOR” by Ui Miyazaki
This OP fits the series pretty well, and it shows off the cuteness factor that first drew me into the show, Chizuru. The song is pretty upbeat, just like the series itself. The animation of the OP is pretty good, but nothing beyond the animation of the episode itself. Check out some pictures for yourself!

Introduction: Kanokon was first published in Japan as a manga by author Katsumi Nishino and artist Rin Yamaki. Both were very unknown at the time and Kanokon is their biggest work to date.
