The only positive things I found about Blade of the Immortal were the stylish OP/ED and the music. The show’s story seems to be a mess even from the first episode. I would understand if the story began ‘in medias res’ but Blade was hard to follow for reasons of its own.

hmmm…it’s too bad I don’t know Japanese…I have to rely on whatever subs I can get. But thanks, Guruhoro, for letting me know - i’ll take the subs from “Kesenai-subs” with a grain of salt. I can understand if first-timers to BOTI don’t like this ep - it’s kind of all over the place. Kazeryu, how’d u like it?

Hmm, the subs seem a bit weird… The screenshot with the “dirty hands” stuff, he’s actually saying “What do you mean, bare handed!?” in reference to Manji’s earlier “I’ll fight you in a bare-handed match!” when he refuses to draw his sword.

There’s also something odd about the song lyrics… In the screenshot with rabbit something something, I think it might be “aratana (something, can’t hear what) ni au sa” = I will meet a new (something).

Haven’t actually seen those subs, bt I know I wouldn’t watch them.
