Episode 06 “Freshman Gossip!~ Lots of Memories of Kid’s First Attendance at Shibusen?~” at a glance:
It’s the day that Death the Kid starts school at Shibusen and although Stein is continuing with his normal routine of dissection lectures, the whole freshman class is gossiping about Death the Kid’s arrival. Soul and Black Star are waiting for Kid when he arrives 3 hours late to pick a fight with him. Soul and Black Star soon discover that their wavelengths don’t match at all, and they are no match for Death the Kid. To end the fight, Kid, Patty and Liz use their Resonance of Souls and extinguish the remaining hopes that the loud-mouthed duo held on to.

“Black Star sucks, take me back”
Review: The episodes just keep getting better and better. I mean this when I say it, Soul Eater has done nothing but impress me every episode. Not only did this episode have well choreographed fight scenes, but it had some jokes too that kept me laughing through the entire thing. The scene where Soul and Black Star “break up” (highlighted above) is just pretty damn hilarious. The two do more to hurt themselves than to fight against Kid. Just goes to show how valuable a good woman is in a man’s direction (we have ADD).
We get to see some more of Death the Kid’s awesome power. He totally outclassed, outskilled and pwned the other two without much second thought. Also, we learn a little bit of why the Thompson sisters respect him so much. Their rough upbringing on the streets humbles them to work for the son of Shinigami-sama, and they admire him as much as they are grateful.
