Episode 06 “Bridge of Lightning” at a glance:

The party comes across an ex-guardian named Gigi and decide to stop at his town to rest, where Jil is robbed of his wallet (containing a grand sum of 2 copper). When Coopa and Melt get into a fight, Coopa storms off and accidentally runs into the thief, Yuri. Apparently since the coming of the Summer, it’s been particularly hard on the citizens of this town, and his father had actually disappeared into the monster-ridden mines to try to retrieve some of the precious stones that are there, and hadn’t been heard from since.

Coopa and the Yuri head to where his father had been and Gigi (Yuri’s grandfather) and the rest of the party hurry after them. After some encounters with the dangerous monsters living in the mines, the two groups find each other and also find the remains of Yuri’s father.

Review: Although very little travel time has passed from our perspective, Jil and his party seem to have a lot more confidence and unity than they did in previous episodes. I’m not 100% sure if this is because time in the story has jumped a little bit or not, but either way, Jil seems a lot more like a hero than the blob of fainting incompetence that he was in the first few episodes.

Either way, not much progresses in this show as they keep on venturing upward, passing the graves of fallen climbers. I’m still waiting on the sexual tension to pick up between Jil and Kaya to pick up (there’s been nothing besides the first ecchi scene in episode 2, ie: yummay =3), shes just too cute in the OP.
